This February I worked with my friend/Director Tim Earnheart on his latest Horror/Thriller short film Conduit. It was a small crew and we shot everything in just under two intense (but fun) days. This film has everything any self-respecting horror buff could ask for: plenty of gore, thrills, chills, twists and turns. But Tim also asked for some interesting and challenging action sequences that allowed us to put the Tilta Gravity 3-axis stabilizer and the Armor-man 2 exoskeleton to the test. When I have time I’ll try to do a more detailed post about both of these pieces of gear. For now, Tim is holding back on a full public release of the film while he submits it to film festivals.
Meanwhile, Conduit has already won the Hollywood International Moving Pictures Film Festival Award of Recognition – Best Horror Short 2017.
Two of the four person crew we had available were Ben Lathwell and Eli Corriveau. Both are relatively young (only juniors in high school) and have a bright future ahead in film and video. They already have their own production company and have done work for some big names, including Microsoft. They did great job on this film and also made this awesome behind-the-scenes video of our two days of shooting.
